What is sponsoredissues.org?
This website is currently in beta testing.
Anyone can "Sign in with GitHub" and vote on issues using their GitHub Sponsors donations.
However, if you want to create your own sponsored issues page, you will need to request beta access here.
sponsoredissues.org lets users assign their GitHub Sponsors donations to specific GitHub issues, in order to vote on which issues get prioritized.

The ability to assign donations to specific GitHub issues has two benefits:
  1. It gives FOSS users an additional incentive to donate, because it gives them a stronger voice in the development process.
  2. It helps FOSS maintainers understand which issues are important to their users.
All donations are given to the maintainer unconditionally (via GitHub Sponsors). In other words, the ranking of an issue does not provide any guarantee about when the issue will be resolved. In addition, not all GitHub issues are automatically "sponsorable". The maintainer selects which issues are sponsorable, to ensure that the issues are technically feasible and align with the goals of the project.
For more detailed info about how the site works, please see the FAQ.

This website is free to use, and the source code is published on GitHub with an Aferro GPL license. If you want to support the site, or if you want to vote on issues related to the site, you can donate to me on GitHub Sponsors.
